Brittany Pierce has been a Registered Nurse for 14 years, focusing on acute care. For the past 8 years, she has served within nursing leadership, leading high-performing teams and departments in Medical/Surgical acute care as well as serving as the Quality Improvement Specialist. She led her hospital’s effort to become a Primary Stroke Center through the Joint Commission and American Heart Association. She also serves as adjunct faculty at Roanoke Chowan Community College ADN program.
Pierce found her love for nursing at just 18 years old during her journey through Allied Health at her local high school. From there, her career began as a nursing assistant at a local hospital where she continued her education and training as a Registered Nurse. Pierce received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2018 and a Master of Science in Nursing Leadership and Management from Western Governor’s University in 2020. Most recently, she has been serving as the Director of Nursing as well as coordinating Quality Improvement initiatives at Roanoke Chowan Community Health Center.
Pierce is passionate about quality and the impact leadership and quality can have on an organization. Brittany is grateful for this opportunity and looks forward to enhancing the primary care setting to promote excellent patient care and outcomes while encouraging and supporting advanced education from her teams. In addition to her professional work and educational endeavors, Pierce enjoys relaxing at the beach and spending precious time with her family.
